Welcome to All Math Words Encyclopedia!

All Math Words Encyclopedia is a service of Life is a Story Problem.org designed to assist math students and teachers for the classes pre-algebra through intermediate algebra. Unlike most encyclopedias, this encyclopedia incorporates learning aids available only on computers. This includes hot link vocabulary words, extensive illustrations, interactive manipulatives, 'understanding checks', and links to other resources.

Getting Started:

1. Look up a word or phrase using the site search widget. This widget appears at the top right of each page and looks like this:
   Click on the text box and type the word or phrase you want to find. The either click the 'Search' button or press enter. A screen will appear with the search results.
2. To browse the encyclopedia, click the 'contents' button at the top of each screen. This will cause a screen to appear with an alphabetical list of articles. If you have forgotten how to spell a word, this can be very helpful.
3. Move the mouse over hot link vocabulary words and hold it there to see a quick definition of words you don't fully understand. Hot link vocabulary words look like this: absolute value.
4. Click on hot link vocabulary words to see an article on the subject. This is useful for words that are new to you. Hot link vocabulary words look like this: absolute value.
