Pronunciation: /moʊd/ ?

The mode of a set is the element or elements that occur most frequently in that set.[1] In the set {3,4,4,5,6,6,6,7} the number 6 appears three times. This is more than any other number in the set, so the mode of the set is 6.

In the set {2,3,3,4,5,7,7} the numbers 3 and 7 each appear twice. No other numbers appear more times so the mode is 3 and 7.
